Currently nowhere! It's in development, and will most likely head to Kickstarter ASAP. Supporters from kickstarter will get their copies from there. Afterwards? Hopefully local retailers and right here.
As of right now: uncertain, and I don't want to ballpark a random number and then be way off. I'll update as soon as I have a real estimate. Aiming to make it a little cheaper for Kickstarter as a way of rewarding early adopters.
If everything goes well: Just one copy of Apotheosis: Tournament of Mages! I'm aiming to ship it with 2 decks and either dice or counters of some kind, so each "pack" is a complete, finished, product. You can buy one and play with whomever, they don't need their own copy.
Think something like Chess - you usually buy a set with a board and 2 sets of pieces, and that's it. That's the idea.
If things go less well, you might have to get your own dice. 6 of them.
No. Each copy is a complete product. Sorry gambling afficionados, there's no buying boosters and hoping for the cards you want. You get everything from the start.
We're aiming to ship each pack with two copies of the same deck, and hopefully either a set of dice or counters of some kind. That's all you need.
Even if we release further content for the game we have no intention of releasing it in any way that involves random or makes you gamble for the outcome. Whatever we may come to release that expands upon the base game we intend on releasing in such a way that you can simply buy the whole thing.
No? Yes? Kinda, but not really?
Let me explain.
Of course "things can change", but we're not aiming to create traditional expansions in the sense of a bunch of elements you add onto the base game.
Depending on demand, there are plans for a different type of expansions (we'll cross that bridge when we get to it) - BUT - they're meant to run parallel with the base game.
The base game is meant to be eternally playable as its own thing - again, think of a cross over between a traditional board game like Chess and a card game.
Not currently!
